Generator engines need governors also! This week our team is on dry land for a change, at the CTPS Power Plant, on the island of Porto Santos near Madeira for a governor upgrade. 4 new DEGO IV governors will provide control over generator speed and load balancing.
The control system is accessible via a secure communication tunnel for remote service, support and review of historical data from generator sensors.
The CTPS Power Plant produces around 80% of the electricity on the island. The rest comes from renewable sources like wind and solar energy.
