Our first EcoPilot installation for Interislander in New Zeeland is complete and operational, on the Ro-Ro passenger ship Kaitaki. We also optimized the ship’s pitch control. Kaitaki traffics the Cook Strait between New Zeeland’s two main islands (Wellington-Picton) but the installation was made at the Fleet Base East in Sydney.
EcoPilot optimizes the ship’s propulsion throughout each voyage to save fuel and secure timely arrival regardless of weather conditions or occasional departure delays.
