Marine green tech for tangible results
Qtagg was founded in Västerås, Sweden in 1997 with the intention to bring quality, high-end products to the marine market. Since then, we have spent a considerable amount of time and resources on research and product development.
Today we can offer one of the most advanced AI-driven systems available for calculating and executing energy efficient propulsion plans for large ships.
Our team has extensive experience in marine automation, electrical power, electronics, modelling of dynamical and hydro-mechanical systems and artificial intelligence. We hold several patents.
Smarter, greener fleets
We want to improve propulsion of ships around the globe to decrease both emissions and marine fuel consumption. Our systems enable ship owners and operators to stay in control of both fuel costs and emissions. Typical fuel savings are in the range of 5-7%.
Approvals
All our products fulfil the IACS E10 requirements and are approved by the major marine classification societies, such as DNV, Bureau Veritas, Lloyd’s Register and Rina.
Partnerships
We have established partnerships with companies such as ABB Marine and Ports and Wärtsilä Automation, Navigation and Control Systems (ANCS). Our partners can offer Qtagg governors and actuators for retrofit to extend a vessel’s lifecycle.

Careers at Qtagg
Qtagg is a company founded and led by engineers. It is the available technology and what we can achieve by using it, and sometimes stretching the limits of what is possible, that is in our focus. We combine software and hardware under the same roof which makes us an interesting place to work for a variety of different development talents. Together we create tangible and visible results.
Part of almost all positions at Qtagg involves on-site visits to ships and customers in other countries and continents. To work here, you should be prepared to spend part of your time traveling the world.
We are almost always interested in candidates for positions such as software or embedded developers. Good UX designers may also be interesting.
